- Technician could not verify customer concern at this time *Recommend customer leave vehicle overnight so tech can test drive on a cold start to try and duplicate concern Technician performed transmission fluid sample and found: Metallic particles in fluid sample but not excessive *Recommend customer perform a drain and fill Technician performed coolant pressure test due to the symptoms of customer concern Technician found that after 5 mins the pressure went down 1 psi Technician removed spark plug on cylinder 4 and found coolant residue on the spark plug and took a bore scope into the cylinder and found coolant residue on top of the piston. Not able to verify active leaking into the cylinder head at this time slow leak from coolant system under pressure no visible coolant leaks in system at this time (could potentially need a head gasket in the future)
- While draining the fluid found that there was less than a quart of oil inside the transmission Technician proceeded to fill transmission to spec Due to the low oil level could need a transmission replacement sooner than first expected slight noise heard from transmission upon test drive after refilling fluid
