Verified customer concern Vehicle wouldn't start, no crank or click Did full scan and found dtcs: Engine: Mass air flow sensor/ circuit b1 Antilock brake: C1142 Pressure sensor circuit C1130 Engine signal 1 Technician performed inspection and found that mass airflow sensor is connected properly and no visual concerns with connector or wiring Technician verified MAF had good power and ground and resistance was in spec indicating that the MAF is in good working condition at this time Technician found TSB stating that if MAF is reading properly and there is good power and ground perform a update/reprogram to the ECM/PCM and recheck *Recommend programming, clear codes, and recheck for check engine light concern Technician also found: Brake light wouldn't come on when stepping on brake pedal. indicating that the brake switch is not getting proper connection technician proceeded to Bypass the brake switch and was able to start the vehicle. REC brake switch
After replacement of the brake light switch and the brakes found on test drive that the vehicles traction control light illuminated when accelerating and the vehicle hesitated and almost stalled when coming to stop and the battery light illuminated Technicain performed inspection and found: Battery leaking acid Negative battery terminal is loose Technician proceeded to try and tighten loose battery terminal and found it was already tightened all the way *Recommend replacement of the battery and negative terminal and recheck

Technician could not verify customer concern at this time *Recommend customer leave vehicle overnight so tech can test drive on a cold start to try and duplicate concern Technician performed transmission fluid sample and found: Metallic particles in fluid sample but not excessive *Recommend customer perform a drain and fill Technician performed coolant pressure test due to the symptoms of customer concern Technician found that after 5 mins the pressure went down 1 psi Technician removed spark plug on cylinder 4 and found coolant residue on the spark plug and took a bore scope into the cylinder and found coolant residue on top of the piston. Not able to verify active leaking into the cylinder head at this time slow leak from coolant system under pressure no visible coolant leaks in system at this time (could potentially need a head gasket in the future)
While draining the fluid found that there was less than a quart of oil inside the transmission Technician proceeded to fill transmission to spec Due to the low oil level could need a transmission replacement sooner than first expected slight noise heard from transmission upon test drive after refilling fluid
